The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!

I was looking up leather gloves, and I noticed that ‘driving gloves’ have holes at the knuckles. I can’t think of any reason why they’d be designed this way, and google has failed to provide me with an answer. Does anyone know?

It’s to facilitate air flow to help prevent sweating inside the gloves.

it allows better flexibility with tighter fit. Otherwise, glove fingers are generally straight tubes that have to stretch over the knuckles – tanned leather doesn’t offer much stretch.

Also, more flexible gloves allow you to grip the steering wheel better.
