Okay well i need help finding the right system for my car. I have a 1997 ford explorer with a stock system. I want a system with tons of bass and is super loud. I just don’t know what size speakers to get and what kind of subs and also like what stuff goes best together. So just put down what you think i should get or what stuff is the best.
A: i had a memphis component system in my old truck, with 2 12″ mtx audio road thunder subs, and all that was pretty loud, i mean just buy whats in your budget becaus honestly its all going to be pretty loud
A: I would definatly go with two Digital Design 12″ 9550’s unless you really want to go bigger and get the 18s and a pioneer head unit. Infiniti reference series speakers
A: I would go with an Eclipse Head unit
10 Farad Capacitor
2 2000 watt orion amps
and 2 15″ Orion H2’s
A: it all depends on your budget
but if you want to really BANG, you can do a lot with an explorer…
you’ll want to get a deep cycle battery for starters.
you’ll need a new head unit (i personally love pioneer and alpine, they make the best decks in my opinion)
for speakers, not really sure what size will fit in your car. either way, get components (with a separate tweeter). infinity kappa’s are awesome, as are the higher end polk lines and mb quartz’s higher end lines
4 channel amp (powers the speakers)– kicker make good 4 channel amps, also check out the elemental designs NINe.4 and hifonics amps
sub (s)– definately go with RE audio, Fi audio, or Orion. they make the best subs that will handle the most power. if you want really low bass, get an 18″ or two. 15″s also pick up low bass as well as some high bass. 12″s mainly pick up higher bass with some low bass.
sub amp– the elemental designs nine.1 is awesome, as are kicker and hifonics amps
get a big custom built ported sub box tuned low (32-34 hz)
if you’re going for a high powered system, you’ll probably need 0 gauge wiring. dont bother getting a cap, im sure people will probably tell you to get one, but theyre a waste of money as they really dont do anything
also dont forget all the other wires and accessories you’ll need (dash mounting kit, wire harness, rca cables, speaker wire, etc.)

A: Dude depends on how much you wanna spend, If you have da money to throw, i would get an alpine head unit, four alpine type x components, alpine amp to push the speakers, 1 13″ JL W7 and a JL 1/1000 to push it, and deff a capacitor. Im pretty sure that system will make ur head go crazy. If you want a crappy system go with what that other kid said, I say go JL, Quality is better than all Bass, If your going competition den go hard like Steve Meade but if you aint stick to the basics homie
