Hi, I am buying a new Kenwood CD Player for my car. I have a really big car radio, and I need to get the case that slots in to make it mould with the dashboard and but a smaller cd player in there. Does anyone know what these are called?

I don’t know what it’s called. However I recently had the same situation. I went to a local car stereo install shop. Bring old and new units. Know YR/Make/Model of car.
Ask for the needed parts to convert/install.
May need: Wire adapter connecters-Antena lead adapter-Faceplate adapters.
This will cost between -70 depending on what’s needed. If you need wire connectors, buy them from the same shop or solder. Radio Shack connectors are junk!

It is called a Dash Kit. They are made by different companies. The most common company is called Metra. If you had said what kind of car you have I could have told you the dash kit needed for it. You will also need a wire harness to adapt your cars wires to the new radio’s wires. DO NOT cut of the factory wire harness that attached to the back of your factory radio.
