Hi,I did the following:
Question: What is the best family car that gets the best mileage?
The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!

I need at least 7 seats plus cargo room. It has to have better than average gas mileage too.

I tried posting this in the ‘cars’ section but only got 1 answer so I thought I might get more answers in the ‘parenting’ section.

look, i cant give u an actual car model, but i can tell you to look at subarus — they last forever!

Honda Oddessey ! Honda’s are great on gas mileage & last as long as u take care of them. I have had my honda for about 5 years now and it has 140,000 miles on it and it still drives like the first day i bought it! Very good economy car! And inexpensive as well! Def a great investment!

Ford Escape Hybrid FWD is the SUV that gives the most miles from all SUV’s. However, it only seats five passengers.

Next up is the Silverado Classic Hybrid that gives the most gas for six passengers.

The Honda Odyssey and Chevy Tehoe do not give the gas mileage like the above vehicles. The Chevy Tehoe is running 50K while the Honday starts at about 26K. I know that Suzuki also sells an XL7 starting about 26K.

I am an avid promoter of the GMC Acadia/Saturn Outlook/Buick Enclave. They are built in my hometown (Lansing, Michigan) and are very well built. They are reliable, have strong engines, lots of cargo space, and great fuel mileage. The platform that they are built on is actually larger than the Chevy Suburban and Tahoe, meaning there is much more room. They ride almost silently, if you sit inside one you won’t even notice the engine is on. They ride like a luxury sedan, have the passenger capacity of a minivan (7 or 8 passengers), the cargo capabilities of an SUV or truck, and the modern styling consumers crave. They get VERY good gas mileage for their size, the GMC Acadia gets 25 miles per gallon. And the best part of all is that they are very reasonably priced–the Saturn model starts at around ,000, the GMC starts at about ,000, and the Buick starts at around ,000. Most competitors for these vehicles BEGIN at around ,000 and when loaded with average options are ,000+. Go for them, they are great vehicles.

I hear the Subaru Tribeca is amazing… I personally want one (and would get one if we had more money). My dad has had a Subaru Forester for awhile and it has amazing mileage. Plus, the Subaru Tribeca has a 7-seater option, plus many others like they all seem to… that if you aren’t a Mini Van or SUV person (like myself) it would be nice… hoping by the time my care dies in the next couple years, we will be able to replace it with something like that with the family growing and all… here’s hoping car shopping goes well…
