A good interior detailing liquid works best. But you’ll want one for fabrics unless the seat covers are vinyl. Ask a detailing shop in your area about it and see if they can get you a bottle.
For the carpet, if it is really soiled, I take out the seats and anything holding down the carpet and remove the carpet and wash it with a hose. After it dries, reinstall. But being such an old car you’ll want to watch for breaking bolts from rust. Carpets for older cars is usually not too expensive and can be replaced in a day.
As far as the paint, start with mild products first. If it is an original finish, it will never get that brilliant shine like new. But there are methods to making it glossy. Start with waxing. If that won’t bring a desired shine, polish it with a foam pad on a buffer. Just watch for any blends done. These can be hidden on a faded finish but will come out of nowhere if you don’t pay attention. A way to spot them before starting is to have the car as clean as possible and go around the car looking at the finish at a 45 degree angle. Watch for any hazy spots or areas where the finish looks dry or not as smooth as the rest of the finish.
Shinning up the chrome and stainless trim will make a huge difference. Eagle brand aluminum polish works great.

This may not be any use to you but on the exterior of new cars any black plastic, ie door handles, side mirrors, roof racks. If they start to turn white or get a little discolored from wax you can use an eraser to take it right off and looking new again. Also look into cleaning it the first time with a clay bar, it will take a lot of work but gets most the dirt away from the paint and ready to wax. WD-40 works great to get some sticky stains up or invest in goo gone (Also could try water and baking soda). To get out stains from carpet just go with a commercial carpet deodorizer to sprinkle on, let it stand overnight then wash out and vacuum. Always wash your car in the shade and on cool days.
