A physics professor just advised me that washing a car to get the salt off is counter productive. Because car washes recycle water it becomes very saline. Then, when you spray the water all over your car it can get into more places and be worse than having the salt on the car. Is this true? If so I guess I’ll freeze and wash at home.

washing your car is the main idea for getting the salt off of it. if you leave the salt on too long then that,s what causes rust.
