| Tent Camping Vs. RV Camping
What is entertaining concerning planning camping is having to manage by using very little things and testing your own tactical knowledge. We renounce our daily ease and comfort of the household for that of the tent, that of the kitchen area for the barbecue and we prefer to {manage|deal|cope with {minimum and to some degree simple items.
Nevertheless having to accept less shows that it’s important to work much more to do daily things that we usually take for granted. One example is cleaning yourself or planning an evening meal may become a hard, time and energy consuming task. Because of this , we’ve got to discover how to adapt and make the best of what we have and this also is the reason why we must use a extensive camping checklist thought out in advance, that contains each of the essentials for survival. Even so, in comparison to tent camping, RV camping might appear to be a stroll in the park, as we have already almost all of the principals which constitute the ease of the home in the vehicles.
Selecting the most appropriate route to approach camping is dependent upon own inclination plus the skills you’ve got to survive against the tough conditions of the outdoors.
Though most younger persons apparently prefer hiking and backpacking, if you plan to take your family out camping and possibly even take young children along, it really is much better that you select RV camping, for the extra comfort and security. Nonetheless, we should not take our RVs for granted and should still have a good RV camping checklist before we embark on our little venture.
In the event that after all things considered, you might be still not able to choose which choice best you prefer, try asking your family members or close friends that could want to consider going with you about just what their personal preferences are, since the achievement of a vacation depends generally in making certain that everyone is comfy about it, even if they appreciate all the roughness of outdoor escapades..
If you are planning a tent camping checklist or an RV camping checklist, make sure they will contain all of the camping checklist basics.
@1TacticalMedic Yeah it’s nice, don’t get me wrong. Just trying to answer you’re question on whether or not it was a diesel. Though for a bugout vehicle, I’d prefer a diesel. Biodiesel is Veg oil, lye and ethanol, though it may be difficult, all can be had or made in a BO situation. Gasoline? Forget about it….
@kingsmountainview Either way, that mo fo is nice! I have owned many Jeeps. I am now onto a Toyo FJ Cruiser thats gonna serve me wife well. then I am buying me another Jeep
AEV Fuel Caddy, it’s on their website
@1TacticalMedic No… Gasoline. At 1:00 notice the 5.7L V8 sticker; it’s got a HEMI.
@LOOKOUT2012 True. I can bug out to the mountains with a motorcycle or even a quad ATV if simply getting out of town is the goal. But you have to think about how you are going to live (survive) once you are in a safe zone? Basically you’ll need to camp and this jeep allows for quick & easy camping. And you can move your camp quickly with this jeep. Im no jeep fanboy but I see value in this setup. Mobility, shelter, food, water, fuel, guns, ammo and gear all in one package.
Bug Out Vehicle!! (I mean it looks great) but where ya gonna bug to? and when ya run outta fuel ? then what? Bug out is get out with what you can carry & use to sustain – not who looks the coolest escaping!!!!!
P’s I’m not hating the Jeep just wanted to make a valid point!
that thing is really cool
That is almost a reason I’d sell my TJ for a JKU. Very nice!
@1TacticalMedic Probably? AEV does offer the deisel conversion so I would assume an advertising vehicle like thise one would have everything the company offers. I didnt see any diesel stickers or badges and the hood was always down so I didnt get a look inside.
@RegularGuy76 I have owned 4 jeeps. All the way back to a 78 Cj. I now own a Toyota FJ, 4×4, locking diffs, trd pkg. Will take it anywhere a Jeep wont go. And I dont just talk smack. I live in Colorado, and I will take it anywhere and more than all my jeep friends.
is it a diesel
@TheRebelEye look on quadratec
@cbarsonfire I would assume its water proof.
What prevents water from collecting in the front tray of the tent base? Looks like a good idea in general.
@mixflip That sucks.
@TheRebelEye I dont know?
What’s the name of that gas tank called? I’m looking into getting it but I can’t find it anywhere.
To bad Jeep sucks! Toyota Land Cruiser is the way to go!
AEV is not far from where I live. Love to have and AEV
@texture6 I agree an off the grid property would be great and I plan on owning a few acres some day soon. But if we have to leave due to flood or a rail car chemical spill or the hills being over run with desparate hoards of city folk looking to escape the cities…you have to plan to bug out and live on the road and this would make for a great overland vehicle. They already use these on safari in Africa. Keeps the people out of reach of most predators.
If u consider it’s lifespan (2 full tanks of gas) in a WROL or SHTF scenario it’s not worth the thousands of dollars. Better yet invest that money in an off the grid place
Really sharp B.O.V.
Wonders if it would be against the law to ride in the tent while its being driven..LOL
That is definitely the ultimate bug out vehicle. Just add the 3 g’s and your ready to go. Guns, Gas, and Groceries and the JK habitat=lots of fun and adventure. God bless. Hey, the fourth G.
@seb8092
Nice 1. Happy camping m8.
Hi smurkenstein , At the front trailer where the gas goes, there is the 12v input socket the other way is to go onto the Pennie Owners forum. They are really helpful and someone even has the old manual as a PDF
@seb8092
Thanks.
So for the 12volt, can you remember where it connects to the tralier tent itself? I can’t seem to find the input (although all of the wiring is present in the kitchen cupbards).
Hi @smurkenstein , Mine was a 1993 Fiesta, I sold her last year, the 12v connectsions were already installed when I bought mine. The whale pump conection for the water was at the side of the trailer (12v) and yes I did have the awning extension never took any photos sorry ..Happy Camping
Oh yeah, do you have the awning extension – any pics?
