Ancient City Shooting Range is introducing Action Pistol shooting for folks who want to step up their level of proficiency with a handgun. Action pistol entails shooting paper and steel targets from different positions while being timed. Accuracy is important but a shorter time definitely factors in. All competitors are accompanied by two range officers during their stage which makes the match very safe and fun.
You may draw from a belt holster if you wish but a low ready start is also acceptable. Courses of fire (COF) will be different each month with both practical and fun applications. There are also magazine changes required so start brushing up on your reloading skills- safely! Action pistol is a great primer for those wishing to move on to IPSC competition as your speed and accuracy increase.
