Toyota Mega Web is a giant Toyota showroom that shows off all of Toyota’s latest models, car accessories and technologies. Attractions include test driving of cars (valid Japanese driving license required), a driverless car ride, and a museum exhibiting cars from past decades.

Today I installed a dual battery system for the car to run a 12 v portable fridge/Freezer. The100 A/hr AGM battery is charged by D250S charger via the car alternator when the motor is running in addition to the fridge being powered. When the motor stops the AGM battery powers the fridge. Should be able to run like this for about 1.5 days. The CTEK charger also has an input for the 125 W portable solar cell.

Items and cost
Waeco CF 50 DZ 00

CTEK D250S DC/DC BATTERY CHARGER 9

Extra Heavy Duty Prostar 12V 100Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery 4

Eco-Camper 125W Flexible Solar Panel 00

Wires, lugs, plugs etc. 0

Total ,423

All items except the Waeco fridge were purchased online

See the video @ www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEyvxA2Vj6U

Update: Had a dedicated fused line installed in the car from the battery to the dc/dc charger as the 12v car accessory line was sufficient to carry the current to charge the battery. Cost 0

An experiment in Motion Photography!
I was trying to get the car in focus, with motion blur of all background objects. Typical stuff you see in car advertisements, etc.

This photo was taken in low light with a Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AutoFocus Lens – not the best for this type of photography! (Taken before I had any VR lense!)
