Q&A: What mp3 player can i connect to my car cd player?

I had a ipod nano and had a car cd player fitted at halfords. My Ipod has now broken and i wanted to know if there are any other mp3 players that will connect to the wire fitted in my car. it is like a usb connection only larger it fits into the bottom of the ipod nano. are there any mp3 players that have a connection like the ipod nano?

That is an ipod dock connector so , only ipods will fit.

If your car stereo has the right inputs (usually on the back of the unit) you can get an attachment (mine was from Best Buy) that you can plug any mp3 player into. The line from the back of the car stereo ends in a small base with that looks like a jack where you can plug in head phones. From that base you get a cord that has the same head phone type connector on both ends. This plugs into the base and your mp3 player (iPod included).
