Question: What are the best car brands?2 Q&A: What are the best car brands?
The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!

According to their performance, look, mileage, safety, reliability… etc. I heard that foreign car brands are a better if the car is mid-sized/small, as opposed to American brands. The American brands are better if you’re looking for a larger car. It would be very helpful is someone made a list of the best car brands, with explanations as to why, so I can make better comparisons. Thank you!
So, I’ve narrowed it down to which cars I wanted. Either the Nissan Altima, Honda Accord, Toyota Corolla, or Mazda6. Which one should I get, and why?

the best car brand is different to everyone…

someone is going to say “BUY IMPORT”

and someone else will say “IMPORT SUCKS BUY AMERICAN”

and flames will be shot back and forth….

honestly, its up to you to find a car you like, do a little research, and figure out if its the car you want….
personally i don’t care what brand it is, if i am getting it for a deal and i know they are relatively durable ill buy it.

GM, Ford and Chrysler tied or am just slightly ahead of Toyota in different categories, after 2007. Honda and Nissan is next.

Look at www.consumerreports.com – have to pay for this or you could go to a library and get hard copy.

They have been rating cars for years. They rate some American cars well but mostly rate certain imports well. Japanese cars do very well (Toyota, Scion, Honda, Mazda etc), British cars don’t (unless it’s Minicooper), Ford Fusion does really well – it varies.

it all depends on the price range, from small cars to 4wds. it all depends on what size of car

There is no such thing as best, ever. Theres only better in certain areas.

Buy slow n cheap Japanese cars like Toyota and Honda for reliability

Buy European cars for fun, fast and expensive cars (Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, Jaguar, Citroen, Mercedes)

Buy American cars for houses on wheels, straight roads, and bigger gas bills (Lincoln, Ford, Dodge)

Honda is the best right now according to:
2009 Consumer Reports Magazine
J.D. Power & Associates.
I also read that they are doing very good in this bad economy selling more cars than most car manufacturers.

Subaru, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan are also great and were in the list of the top 5 most reliable cars in the sources above.

I have two cars: Toyota Camry(Its pretty sporty and safe), and just bought a 2009 Mazda6, i like it because its VERY comfortable and sporty.I think its the best car ever made.
