Question: New car – dealer or local shop for oil changes and regular maintenance during warranty period?
We just bought a new car yesterday. Must you go to an authorized dealer for oil changes and regular maintenance or can you go to any local car care place for these? Will not going to a dealer for regular maintenance negate the warranty if a problem comes up that is normally covered under the warranty? (the car is a Subaru)

normally u can take ur car anywhere for oil changes…….but make sure u keep records…..there are laws in most places that allow u to take ur car wherever u want ……..but to b sure ask ur dealer……or read the paperwork…

as far as warranty work it WILL b covered as long as the maintenance HAS been done and done correctly……
