Hi,I did the following:

parking the wife’s car while we pay off mine (22 months). How often should we start it up and run it around the block to avoid damage to gas lines/tires/etc? Note: long term indoor storage is not feasible. Will be sitting in our gravel driveway.

That is mostly dependent on your climate. If you take it out for a 15 minute drive every 3-4 weeks you should have done enough to simulate an active status. A few things to keep in mind:
-Keep up with the oil changes as you would on an active vehicle. Remember, its 3000 miles OR 3 months.
-Rodents love to nest in sitting vehicles, especially engine blocks. Pop the hood regularly and inspect for bedding. Check the spare tire well too.
-If you live in an especially humid climate, overexposed paint can be extremely subject to oxidation. Consider a tarp if you cannot store indoors.

has a good answerer for you I would just change one thing you need to make that drive a 45 min drive at the shortest to get the engine and transmission throughly worked. This will also give you nice opportunity to check for any developing drivabylity problems (remember not to keep to much fuel in it as old fuel can create problems)
