how do you hook up the bass knob on a car audio amp please help.ive tried plugging it into the phone jack looking port but it wont work am i doing something wrong?the light on the knob powers on. am i suppose to reset something?

first make sure the amp supports it
second read the instructions on how to hook up the control
if it still does not work contact the manufacturer to get a new one
It should be plug and play man. maybe your remotes messed up on your amp? Does your amp even work without the bass knob?
well it might have a high /low/remote switch crossover on the amp.
