Q&A: How do I make a car cd player out of a cd drive?

I was wondering if it was possible to take a computer cd player and hook it up to a car, because I have tons of cd drives, but my car is old and only has a tape deck. It’s like a 1997 sunfire, if that’s important. I have a lot of computer repair experience, but little automotive experience.

Can’t do it, you’d need to hook it up to a computer.
Cd players for cars can be real cheap, why would you want to waste time and money, when you can just buy one?

well if you put a computer in your car and hook up the sound card to the speakers then it would work but otherwise no..
