Question: How do I fix or cover a hole in my convertible car?
The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!
I bought a used convertible that has one of those I think its canvas tops that comes off, but it has a small hole in it. Its not a big deal thats why I had ignored it but now I need to wash my car and cant cause water will leak through.
Is their a certain material of fabric or something that I can gorilla glue on to the inside to cover the hole, or what do you recomend I do besides buy a new top which is to expensive?

Patching such a hole in a convertible top is very
much like patching a canvas tent, or a sail for
a boat. The proper way is to hand sew a patch
on the inside, then seal the area with some
tent waterproofing, or seam sealer.
Don’t use Gorilla glue! Don’t use any glue. Glue
will make the fabric very brittle, and cause it to
rot. Properly to sew it you would need to learn
how to use one of the tent sewing awls, or just
use a large enough needle to handle, and run
the thread up, and down through the canvas top
until you have the patch firmly sewn onto the
top. After tying off your thread, use a tent seam
sealer, or even recoat the whole top with tent
waterproofing.
