Question: How can I stop my house rabbit chewing everything?
The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!
I have a lovely pet houserabbit called Sookie. She’s very well behaved she likes a cuddle and always get back in her cage when shes told too, but unfortunatly she likes to chew and nibble! She has taken to chewing the corners of my walls and my wires. Is there anything anyone can recommend to stop her doing this? I dont really have much money so dont want an expensive pet shop product, i wonder if there is some household item that might work.
Thanks =)

I know spraying vinegar is supposed to stop them chewing on things, only problem is i don’t know if it’d do any sort of damage to the wall :/ You’d be better getting white vinegar so it doesn’t stain but i don’t know if it’d damage the walls as it’s acidic.

Do a little research- I recall something about rabbits needing stuff to chew on because their teeth never stop growing, so they need to constantly wear them down. That is why rabbits in cages are always provided with wood or something to chew. If a rabbit cannot chew on substantial material to wear their teeth down, the teeth will grow long enough to limit eating, movement and possibly inflict physical harm on the rabbit itself. You should provide something that is appropriate for the rabbit to chew on and make it prominently available just like cat owners should provide scratching posts for their cats. (cats’ claws continue to grow constantly just like rabbits’ teeth) Do a little research and see what is recommended for this issue- your solution may be as simple as a piece of scrap pine! Good Luck!

You should get some wire covers so that she cannot chew through wires.
Also providing her with other things to chew, my rabbit loves to chew through magazines.
When I first got my house rabbit he was the same with the chewing but I found that the ‘No!’ command followed by a reward and plenty of praise when he stops works well.
