okay, well. not the most beautiful subject in the world, but nonetheless – capturing, what was for me, a beautiful moment.

today, driving to pick up katie & jack, i put in Yankee Hotel Foxtrot [by Wilco]. it’s literally been years since i’ve listened to this album (after listening to it every day for who knows how many months). after awhile, these songs did nothing but represent & remind me of a painful place, so i put the cd away and didn’t even notice it when flipping through my cd case (no. i don’t have an ipod. or an itouch. or an iphone, for that matter. yes. i want one.).

today, for "whatever reason", i busted it out without even thinking about it. suddenly, it was exactly what i had been wanting to listen to.

…it felt like coming home <3

Ukrainian Museum of Canada – I also purchased a couple CDs, but will have to wait until Toronto to listen to them because my car doesn’t have a CD player. The young woman in the shop was kind enough to let me listen to snippets from a few CDs so that I could pick the ones I wanted.
