Driving Gloves–: In warm climates, why do people wear driving gloves?
I understand that a person might like to keep their hands warm with a pair of gloves while they’re driving in cold weather, but what about the people who wear gloves while driving in normal/warm weather?
Tom, I have never worn driving gloves and have only seen them being worn, so I wouldn’t have a clue how thin or thick they are.

I wear driving gloves for 3 reasons;
1.I have very Sensitive hands and I can’t stand the way that wheel feels.
2. I have a tendency to grip the wheel too tightly which leads to blisters around the joints where my fingers meet my hands.
3. In really hot weather, the wheel is too hot to touch. But you can touch it in gloves.
That’s why I’ll wear them especially in the hottest weather.

I don’t have driving gloves but I live in Florida and park my car outside. I literally can’t touch the wheel because it gets so hot. I would wear them if I had them. Or money to get them.

Have you not noticed how thin driving gloves are? Driving gloves aren’t so much for keeping your hands warm as they are for keeping a good and controlled grip on the steering wheel. And for many that is desirable regardless of the weather.
