Q&A: Do you think Ferrari and other big car brands should start putting system in their car to help the environment?

We all know that in todays time we need to take care of the environment a lot more..so do you think car companies should put system inside their cars such as KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) like the ones used in Formula One?..or other devices to help the environment…

Not really. It’s not like the 15 units Ferrari sells every month in the country comes close to the environmental damage that the 20,000 Honda’s that are sold no matter how much better they are in emissions. Plus Ferrari drivers put such little miles on their cars compared to other drivers.

Porsche already does it.
They made a Hybrid SUV.
They are switching their already clean and environmentally clean 6 cylinder engines to 4 cylinder engines in some of their cheaper models.
They are using dry sump and other racing technology for better efficiency.
And the Porsche 911 Turbo is like a vacuum cleaner. The air that goes into the engine from a city environment is more harmful than the air coming out of the exhaust system. That is a fact.

Not at all. Ferrari is a very small company. It is not Ferrari’s responsibility to make sure the environment is safe. Their responsibility is to build fast beautiful cars. Supercars are supposed to not give a dam about the environment. That’s why hybrids were invented: to compensate for the people who care about what they drive and are seen driving.
