I have a new Rav4, and I like the way the guards look, but do they really “guard” anything?

They protect your car from little nicks, scratches or dents from really minor accidents. Basically, the idea is you damage the guard not your bumper or head/tail lights, and it’s less expensive to repair/replace the guard. Keep in mind that it isn’t 100% effective, and yeah, some just buy those for the look and not the function.

yeah the front end wont get dented if you hit somthing at a low rate of speed but of course if you collide with something at 50mph its not going to do all that much to save the front end
