I finally found the mark by researching about it online. Apparently, it’s all the way at the bottom of the tube/cylinder/reservoir -on the inside, and you have to use a flashlight to see anything. This is why I like cars that are easy to work on. I heard VW/Audi are the worst for the DIY guys.
Don’t forget Toyota made your car, and Toyota have pretty smart. In my 09 ‘rolla, it’s very compact, yet I can still see everything!
bad tie rod ends or ball joints or even an unbalanced tire or a cord broken in the tire
My sister’s 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse with a V6 is so cramped under the hood that I can’t even see the Full mark on the resevoir. All you have access to is the cap…I tried to find that mark for like 5 minutes….while on my car(IS250) it’s much easier…So I don’t know what Mitsubishi were thinking when they did that.

i hope someone can help me out i have a 88 nissan maxima 6 cylinder. it runs fine on the street but as soon as it reaches 65mph on the highway it starts shaking like crazy up and down really bad .i decrease to 64 and it stops.other times i have pushed it to 80mph and nothing goes wrong it runs smooth im totally lost anyone help!???
Yea iv seen it at work. People can be really stupid. They put the wrong fluid in the wrong spot even when it says on the cap what to put in it.
Look strait down at it when its hot and open it with your face over it. Especially when the coolant resivoir is part of the whole system like a ford taurus.
Your a retard. It uses that coolant when it runs low in the radiator. It also lets the heated coolant to overflow into the resivoir when it builds up enough pressure so it doesn’t blow the hose off or something. Thats why its there. I bet your cars overheat all the time and run with no coolant in the radiator.
There are people out there that dont know anything under the hood/bonnet of a car , they put water in the oil filler , oil in the screenwash bottle ,oil in the brake reservoir , even try to top up the engine oil down the dipstick hole !
yep people need these video’s
Did a video really need to be made for this? If you need a video for this, you should probably just keep paying the dealership to fix your car lol.
I 100% agree! I’ll NEVER drive an american/domestic vehicle. Right now I drive an ’86 Celica GT-S – my first car
Ditto dude, I love cars, the money isnt great to start off with but people have to remember you are getting paid to learn, so really it aint as bad as it seems. Once you are qualified you can earn good bux and do stuff you enjoy! Also alot of blokes will envy your knowledge :p

Wow nice price do my car! o.o
simucal is a fucking idiot, you are the reason I have a job. Thank you!
It doesn’t matter if it’s low even, if your car overheats from simply having a pint less of coolant inside your radiator then you have other issues to worry about. Reservoir tanks are useless, I run all my cars without them.
i just went to get a apprentaship
Now that’ll be $85….
I like fixing cars thank you man for this video..
Thanks I really needed to hear this. You’re a life saver!
i bought a car with a manual transmission but i noticed how now my second gear only goes up to 35 when it’s suppose to reach 40 mph… the third gear only goes up to 45 when its suppose to go up to 60 idk what could be wrong.. if any one know can you tell me please.. the car its not a brand new car but it’s in good condition… can anyone tell me how it can be fixed i apreciate if anyone gives advice.
Its interesting how a lot of manufactures don’t suggest servicing the transmission at all in their service intervals…
audi coupe ftw!
Thank you very much. This is very helpful.
How do I fix the slipping problem and noise problem?? I am changing to another one that works it is used and cost me 900.00USD!!
How do I fix the slipping problem and noise problem?? I am changing the whole automatic transmission with a working one! cost me 900.00USD to get a used one that works!
hahahah my chevy has gear noise
Ah how can he have any dislikes
I have a 99 cougar with 300 k on it . And I have NO transmission problems . I have ran RP in it ever since it came out and changed it every 50 k miles . Also run it in the motor . I have had to replace the flyweel and timing chain though . But dont think I will be having any more problems , since I put RP Lube on the timing chain since it was already out
hey big question for ya. im looking to buy my buddies s10 and the gears and messed up. its and automatci. neutral is drive, reverse is in between park and reverse and when i put it in park you gotta hold the shifter up in park and shut it off so it stays there and doesnt roll. is this a bad buy?
@derning302 The car slipped into neutral, then slipped back into gear. Check your tranny fluid, if it’s low top it off with whatever fluid the manufacture specifies to use.
@RafTheDrifter The last car with a carburetor was produced when you were still just a baby. I believe the Buick Skylark was first introduced to fuel injection in 1982 lol. I do hope you were kidding, otherwise watch what you say, you may accidentally lead someone off to something that’s wrong. I’m not trying to sound like a dick or anything.
@derning302 The gear slipped into neutral, hence the high RPM’s and no movement, then it went slow cause it knew it was the wrong gear. My 2001 Chevy Malibu 3.6V6AUTO did the same. I ended up getting my Trans replaced.
@derning302 hmm.. maybe thats the carburetor problem… the carburetor may pump too much fuel into the engine and causing it to “choke”…
my transmission ALWAYS whines. But it isn’t a problem. Tha’ts just how they sound. on all accords they make a turbine sound.
i have a 1997 buick skylark, and i was driving it on the highway, as i tried to accelerate to go faster, the car revved up to 5000 rpms, but the car wasn’t accelerating, after maybe a second or two, the car starts to accelerate really slowly, but i dont know what is wrong, could that be a transmission problem?
I feel this let me anyone tell me wrong a mechanic is like a doctor a mechanic knows cars and a doctor knows bodies so a car is like a body in some since
this guy for real?
what if the transmissions oil goes to the waters engine?
@19anosangel Having the same fucking problem with my 1996, cannot say how frustrating this is. once the car is turned back off, then back on again it runs for a short period then begins to slip again.
Hi I have a 1998 honda civic, the problem is when, stop at a red light, and then accelerated in green light, it feels like the transmission slips.
help me please!
hey can u help me i think my trannys going when it shifts it 50% of the time kinda jumps a little like a head bob kinda thing when your going into 2nd and up also when i put it in any gear you can hear it clank in a little it is an automatiac also when i get back to the gas u can like feel it in gauge like a noise kinda snapy
@ckillls try using an “is” somewhere in that sentence. its fun!!
Wauw, that’s a Audi S2!
My master slave broke so i let a buddys brother drive my car home..needless to say…after new master slave was installed, kid fried my clutch….broke / bent my shift fork, and COMPLETELY worn out my 3rd gear synchro. New clutch is in…shift fork is replaced, but i still have a slight grind while going into 3rd gear at a high RPM, and a grind downshifting into 3rd. My car is only 4 years old, and now has tranny problems because i was too jew to tow the car……FUCK
