Hi,I did the following:
Question: Car detailing question!?
The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!
Over the winter, I didn’t bother to wash my car. My driveway and the roads around my house are dirt, and the snows turned everything to this clingy-clay mess; I didn’t want to waste my time. Anyways! Once I finally washed my car in the spring, the paint on the sides looks weathered? I’m not certain that’s the right term. It still looks like there’s a layer of mesa dust, and its hazy.
Is there anything I can do to get those spots to go away? I’d upload a photo, but the computer cord for my phone walked off.
Sorry about the annoying “!?”
Thank you very much everyone! I’ll try anything. The car’s old, a 2001 Ford Taurus, but I don’t want it to look crummy.

sounds like oxidation, get some good rubbing compound and wax or something that will take the oxidation out of the paint, wax on, wax off

i’d avoid rubbing compound for now. u need to wash with dish detergent. then use a cleaner polish with medium pads and an orbital polisher, then move to a fine polish with light pads. Then wax. This takes hrs my friend. U can also pay someone 0 to have it detailed. rubbing compound will start stripping the paint and clear coating above the paint. Use that only for scratches.
use this site for tips, I’m a believer.
