I was visiting Africa a while back and i couldn’t help but notice that most cars they have and what we have are one and the same, but just different names for example, the Montero is known as the Pajero there. My question is 1. What is the Toyota Mark II commonly known as here in the states? 2. What is the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado known as?

Toyota Mark II or formally called Crown Mark II was named Cressida for the overseas (America & Australia). For the US only, it slowly changed into AVALON of today.

For Toyota Landcrusier Prado, for US it is just Landcruiser. Landcrusier Prado is for Australia and others.

if you want to know land cruiser answers go to ih8mud.com, register there and post your question. it is free and it is a dedicated land cruiser site, all the guys, and gals on there are great at helping. the prado was shipped to canada but not the states. when you register tell them cruiser88 sent you, but anyone on there will help you and be able to tell you anything you want to know about toyota landcruiser
