Best way to clean car CD player?

Hi,I did the following:
Question: Best way to clean car CD player?1 Best way to clean car CD player?
The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!

My burned CDs are playing great at home and in portable CD playes now, but are skipping now and then on my car player. Also my Radio plays fine it’s just the Cd player that skips.

What is the best way to clean it? (I’m hoping that is all it needs, it’s a pretty good one that was in my sports car when I bought it and have no owner’s manual for it)

Can anyone recommend something, please?

Try a better brand of cd-r’s. It also could be that your oversampling on your car cd player isn’t high enough. If it’s a cheap or old factory cd plyer you might want to upgrade to a better model.

I clean my drive using a cleaning disk that I bought from Wal-Mart. This disk has a couple of brushes that clean the player’s lens. Just follow the instructions on the disk. I clean my drive a few times a year. Maybe about every 90 days.

Also, factory automotive CD players don’t read CDR disks as well as original disks. As arick said, take very good care of your disks and they play better.

When my home made disks go bad I simply burn replacements. If you buy disks by the 100 pack they are only about a quarter each.

Also, when I buy a new CD I will usually make a copy and play the copy in my car. I store the original away for safe keeping. When my copy goes bad I simply burn another copy from my seldom used original. Again, it only costs about a quarter if you buy by the 100 pack.

might be the quality of the cd player itself,, did it used to play cd’s ok??? if so then the BEST way is to remove the cd player from the car, locate the screws holding the frame togeather and remove them, take the cover of the cd player apart then get a can of air,, or a air compressor and spray high pressured air all over the inside ,, or you can try the can of air and stick the nozzle attachment to it and stick that inside where you insert the cd’s and spray try that first b4 you try to remove the cd player,,,

Your CD’s maybe all scratched up. Burn a new one.
