Question: Any ideas om what family car to drive?

We are looking at Volkswagen`s Touran as the perfect family car. What do you think?
It is not as expensive as a Mercedes Benz or a BMW but is as good and much more practical, I think.

personally i like the peugeot 206 as a family car.. but everyone will have a different opinion, get a car that u like to drive, has plenty of room and is reliable

Try a car that is good on gas. Family vehicles don’t have to be minivans or SUVs. Regular sized cars have 5 seats so unless you are going to have more than 4 passangers, try an economy car.

If you mean SUV then no, volkswagon is way too pricey for the size and the extras it comes with . and iif it is jus a family vehicle, you dont want to spend 28,000 maybe 33,000 on a car your kids will spill red soda in the next day you get it. its more of a luxury SUV for a kid-less couple. now a full size SUV thst may work is the nissan Armada or pathfinder you get more car for the dollar. even a toyota highlander would do. but it also depends on how many kids you have too, and what type of extras you want. the dodge durango has a model with a dvd player, or a Chrysler town and country (VAN) does too. if just depends on the options you are willing to pay for and how much space you need.
now as for a family car i would choose the nissan maxima or honda accord hands down or even the toyota avalon or camry all have decent space, excellent gas milage, and optional hybrid capabilities.

I like the Honda Odyssey, the newer one, it has a nice look and has a complete package, if you have kids with the tvs and games. Nice, not too expensive.

A Dodge Caravan, cheap, practical and reliable. Vw makes you go to the dealership for everything and are very expensive to maintain.
