For graduation, Steve bought me an Alpine iDA-X001 for my Subaru – it’s the car I commute in, so access to all my podcasts and songs is going to be nice! It was developed with folks from Apple. The iPod integration is pretty spiffy. Get this: It does not include a CD player!

Day twenty-six: I’ve been at work today and this is a photo of a little mini we have on top on the CD player there! I love Minis and they have to be my second favourite car, after the beetle! It was good to be at work today, though I was looking forward to having a pizza and watching a film with Jamie in the evening – but at least the car tax, insurance and rent has been paid…time to start saving now I guess!

Today I used my gorillapod www.flickr.com/photos/judybaxter/481968385/ for the first time on my "365 Day" photo which explains the crooked lines. I love when it’s time to go home from work.

Today we had some unexpected paperwork to do. I was thankful when I finished it and turned it into the office.

I was also very happy to have such a CLEAN car. That happened yesterday. After leaving my yard heading to work yesterday morning, I learned that I had a flat tire. My husband drove his truck the 1/4 mile and let me drive his truck to work. The Lincoln-Mercury place not only fixed my tire but also cleaned and "checked out" my car. It was nice to be back in my car. My husband’s truck drives very "jerky," doesn’t tell me the temperature, doesn’t have controls on the steering wheel for the A/C and radio, tape player, CD player, and doesn’t have automatic controls to move the seat forward when I put it in gear.

Well, actually, Rebecca, my husband spoils me. I only need a truck when I need something big hauled somewhere, but I must have another individual to go too because I don’t do HAULING. I might get hurt. :P

Can you tell that I am the BABY in my family!!!!!

I didn’t smell any smoke today. The sky was a pretty blue with fluffy clouds as you can see in the photo above. I haven’t heard anything about the fire that was nearby. Here is a newspaper article from this past Monday, May 7: http://www.valdostadailytimes.com/local/local_story_127232537.html

I didn’t hear anything on the news here today about the fires there so I do hope things are getting better. Your gorrillapod works well for you. New toys are always nice to have.

Sorry about the flat tire, but at least you had a substitute ride ;-)

My car doesn’t do any of this either, but it’s extremely low on gas, and it holds at least 22 moving boxes every time we drive back and forth between FL and TN ;-) ))

Gorilla Pod served you well, good job.

Oh I tell you watching and photographing those pelicans is just amazing. I think it was later last year when I saw them, as I was on my way to Vegas. These weren’t as many distinct groups, but talk about a hoard of them. I thought it was a bug swarm at first. i QUIT taking pix and just enjoyed the view after a bit!! So cool
