On August 7th, 2009 the Inglewood community in Calgary, Alberta was hosting it is annual Sun Festival, which is comparable to other Calgary community festivals such as Mission’s Lilac Festival, Sunnyside/Hillhurst/Kensington’s Sun &amp Salsa Festival, and Marda Loop’s Marda Gras.

As aspect of an ongoing series of installations dubbed, sParks or &quotSpontaneous Parks&quot a couple of us created this &quotBedouin lounge&quot on the street as a spot for individuals to relax, get out of the sun, and perhaps even engage their neighbours or public at huge in conversation.

Later on in the afternoon, we had been privileged to have some drummers and a great guitarist, who was performing elsewhere at Fringe Fest, entertain passersby and loungers alike. Needless to say, dancing in the streets was inevitable and refreshingly spontaneous.
